An Old Time Favorite: The Moscow Mule

This old time favorite is certainly making a come back and it isn't only me who thinks so. The copper mug seems to be popping up everywhere and this refreshing vodka and ginger beer option is starting to take bar menus by storm. The cocktail has been around since the 1940's and is responsible for the popularity of Smirnoff as we know it today. There are actually quite a few interesting little tid bits about this drink, some of which you can find here.

If you haven't tried it yet, now is the time. It's the perfect blend of refreshing, with just a little bit of sweet and some spice from the ginger.

The Moscow Mule (for one)

1 can of Gosling's or Crabbie's Ginger Beer
2 ounces of Vodka
1 Lime wedge
1 sprig of Mint Leaves
1 Moscow Mule Copper Mug (it just makes the experience that much better)
Ice

In the mug, combine your ice, vodka, and juice from the lime. Top it off with ginger beer to fill up the rest of the mug. Garnish with a sprig of mint leaves.
